Greasy extras from imagined 60s biker films. Troubled skeletons with no job prospects. Sexy knife wielding chicks embedded in cults. Put all this to some bone shaking 70s boogie and you’re in the mind of Australian artist and musician Mike “Fox” Foxall. Fox has spent the majority of the past 25 years either drawing or rocking like a mofo and with the wisdom of age has come a brilliant new idea.
What about doing both AT THE SAME TIME?!
So this June/July as Fox’s old band Nancy Vandal and new band The Neptune Power Federation play shows around the country, he will be operating a series of pop up art exhibitions featuring original works that celebrate rock and roll in all it's seedy, subversive, salacious glory. These pieces will be ink and watercolour on paper, priced to sell and ready to roll up and take home. No skivvys, monacles or berets required to attend these events friends. They are short one- day only affairs at awesome locations with sweet vibes and cold beers so you’d be a dead set drongo to miss out.
FOXY’S ROCK ART ROADSHOW 2018
SAT JUNE 2 THE OLD BAR, MELBOURNE
FRI JULY 6 THE CHURCH @ CROWBAR, BRISBANE
